Abstract
The XXI century brings new challenges to educational entities in the field of education in the face of a new profile of students, since they belong to a new generation known as "digital natives", the result of an increasingly technological society. Therefore, the educational model of any institution must adapt to the information society. Faced with these challenges, it is necessary to implement different educational tools in order to take advantage of the pedagogical advantages of Web 2.0.
Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), Technology for Learning and Knowledge (TAC), Technology for Empowerment and Participation (TEP) are essential tools today, as they allow students to develop skills to solve a variety of problems, including in the context of science and inclusion ways to enter the field of study and improve their skills and technical learning.
Finally, in the challenges of the XXI century, users can interact and collaborate with each other in virtual communities (using Web 2.0) as creators of user-generated content, not only to exchange information or spread knowledge, but to influence, to influence, create trends, among others, etc.; and not by a few experts, but by everyone who has access to the Internet via smartphone, tablet or PC.
