Abstract

The objective of the research is to promote collaborative learning in virtual education in the area of programming fundamentals, the research has a mixed approach, the deductive method was used and 10 multiplechoice questions were asked, which were applied to 30 students of the University of Guayaquil, a questionnaire-type instrument was used, which allowed collecting information, the social platform Discord was used, which is a radio that broadcasts the class to strengthen learning. It is based on exploratory research with the help of scientific information and supported by surveys. This work focuses on how this situation is being transferred to the classroom in a communicative reality in constant transformation. On the other hand, the results obtained indicate that students do not get used to the use of virtual platforms, because they lack interactive spaces, rather they have skills to correctly manage this Discord platform. The main conclusions ratify the results of the research, show that it incorporates the analysis of various researchers on the educational possibilities of sound, video and image in the current digital support. Therefore, thinking about educational software represents a tool of great help to educational institutions. It is then to put students and teachers in contact with this software tool that will help them expand their knowledge about its existence as well as develop the skills to technologically absorb new tools
