Abstract

The PDI is a technological system, which is linked to a computer, a video projector and a pointer control device, which allows to obtain digital contents in such a way that it is the most suitable for group viewing. It can be directly related to the projection surface. This distinction, not always common in documents and research, has practical implications, mainly from an economic perspective and offers a number of advantages and at the same time disadvantages specific to each format. The digital whiteboard provides teachers to find a resource very close to the pedagogical tradition that adds ICT in the classroom in a specific way. The digital whiteboards allow to analyze, teaching and learning in higher education, these tools have a great variety of potential, which should be taken advantage of to improve the teaching and learning of students, making classes more didactic and innovative with the help of the Internet. This resource seeks to innovate its teaching system within the educational field, it is a very important tool as a means within higher education, in order to help the improvement in the classroom for both teachers and students, in this way both parties acquire new knowledge, as the digital whiteboard will allow us to perform a series of innovative activities.  In addition, the digital whiteboard is a technological resource that allows teachers to introduce in the classroom the new methodologies of information and communication in a visible way that allows the most active participation of students, using innovative technologies that can help within the classroom and thus promote attention and motivation in students. All students can observe and also interact with the computer equipment, either individually or in groups. The interactive whiteboard is considered as a new option in the educational context, of which there are a great variety in the environment: tactile digital whiteboards with mesh; electromagnetic digital whiteboards with pencil; among others. The introduction of the PDI in the teaching process generated changes in the cognitive functions, in the learning objectives, radically modified the teaching strategies, favoring a more active participation of the student. This resource provides motivation to students and allows them to learn with it and apply various forms of teaching at the same time, increasing the learning opportunities for students. One of the main factors that facilitate the good use of the PDI are the pedagogical designs of teachers, which are crucial for learning, are adapted and developed according to the interactive whiteboards.
